Take care in selecting an SEO program or service - does SEO Elite cut the mustard?

There are so many search engine submitters and SEO (Search Engine Optimizing ) programs about it is hard to sort the good from the bad – unless you try them. I hate trying these things, and I've tried many more than I would like to admit – and most were failures. Is SEO Elite Version 4 an exception?

There are loads of adverts for site submitters, SEO optimizing consultants, SEO programs abut and I hate them all. The programs take endless time to set up and operate and few are worth using. I tried one very expensive system that shall be nameless, and spent six months laboriously putting in information just to get about 50 links. Did they help that web site? Not one bit. So I'm pretty sceptical about SEO programs and consultants as well.

Overpriced consultants won't do much for your site

I contacted one of these consultants some time ago, thinking it would save me time – time is so precious on the internet. Instead of saying we can do x, y and z to improve your site they offered me a course over three months for $6,000. No guarantees, just sales talk.

Having tried many services and programs I came across a guy called Brad Callen. I had got a 101 course on SEO he gave away free, and it helped me – it actually improved my sites. Later I bought SEO Elite, and yes, it is quite a good program but it was flawed. Some things did not work well, and others were slow.

The old SEO Elite improved my rankings

Even so, I have to admit that SEO Elite did help improve rankings where other methods had failed. It got my main site in the top ten for highly competitive keywords - but in a rather laborious way. So if you wanted to buy an SEO program I would have said that SEO Elite was worth a try. But now there is SEO Elite Version 4.0 (or SEO Elite 4), and the whole thing has been extended and revamped with new, faster code.

How does SEO Elite help your ranking. There are two ways of improving your site's ranking:

On-page: things like including a proper title and description and adding alt tags
Off-page: Getting links to your site, preferably from high-ranking sites

SEO Elite concentrates on off-page strategies and did it up to a point. But what about SEO Elite 4? I've just go this new version, and it promises to be much, much better.

SEO Elite 4 is actually a bundle of seven programs – and there is one more coming later – all designed to help you improve page ranking and get more traffic which means make more money. Now the weaknesses of the older versions of SEO Elite have been overcome – and some stunning stuff added. Or, so it seems.

You start off by seeing what links you have already, then you find high-ranking sites to try to get links from – these are reciprocal links.

Find the best link partners and link to them quickly

The second program- getting links – has been completely redesigned to make it faster and get more really useful stuff. Oh, yes, and once SEO Elite 4 finds suitable sites, it will email the webmasters for you. Cool stuff. Soon, you will start getting links.

There is also a neat feature that lets you get links from links directories – semi-automated. This is a valuable feature because these are one-way links which are worth more than reciprocal links.

How competitors rank for important keywords – and other factors

Project 3, as Brad calls the next feature of SEO Elite 4 seems complicated, but it shows you whether sites rank highly because of their keyword-related links or because of other factors – sometimes they rank highly despite poor links, and in other cases, they rank highly ONLY because of their links. This is useful stuff when you start optimising your site, because with this information you can exploit their weaknesses.

Get links to authority sites

Authority sites are highly ranked by Google, so if you get links from them, some of their authority status rubs off onto your site. This is a very powerful tool and worth the price of SEO Elite 4 alone.

Free updates indefinitely

With any of Brad's software you get updates free for as long as you want. I've had dozens! But wait: About to be released is one more program to integrate into SEO Elite 4.

This will find article sites and submit your articles to them. If you buy the software now, you'll be in the first group of people to get this tool. Go out onto the internet and look for article submission programs and you will find they cost anything up to $150, and they take a lot of time to use and don't work well. Yes, I've tried those as well.
